As the founder of Carelogix, I recently completed a six-week pre-accelerator program with Plus Eight sponsored by Investment NSW that transformed my approach to entrepreneurship. Here's my story of growth, learning, and community building that might inspire other aspiring entrepreneurs.

The Location - Western Sydney Startup Hub powered by Spacecubed
Situated at 5 Fleet Street, North Parramatta, NSW, this business centre provides an opulent workspace tailored for technology startups, scaleups, and various enterprises. The building is characterised by abundant natural light to boost concentration and creativity.
It is a distinctive heritage location encircled by stunning environment characterised by a rich history and culture that resonates through its architecture. This blend of cultural richness and natural beauty makes the location not just a place to visit, but an experience to cherish and remember.

The Power of Structured Innovation
The Plus Eight program stands out for its well-structured approach to startup development. Meeting every Thursday followed with 1 min pitch, we adhered to a curriculum that methodically developed our entrepreneurial skills, ensuring we stayed on track with strict timelines that held us accountable and propelled us forward. Caroline was a pivotal program manager who encouraged everyone to step outside their comfort zone. Throughout the program, the Cohorts had access to mentorship to support and refine their business ideas.

Startup Ecosystem
The ecosystem itself provided a safe space for innovation, fostering an environment where creativity could flourish without the fear of judgment. In this nurturing atmosphere, individuals were encouraged to explore unconventional ideas and approaches, allowing for the birth of ground breaking concepts that might not have emerged in a more critical setting. The collaborative nature of this ecosystem meant that diverse perspectives could be shared openly, leading to richer discussions and the cross-pollination of ideas.
In many traditional settings, individuals often hesitate to voice their uncertainties for fear of appearing uninformed or incompetent. However, within this innovative ecosystem, such "dumb" questions were not only welcomed but celebrated as essential tools for clarification and understanding. When participants felt free to inquire about the fundamentals or challenge assumptions, they illuminated the complexities of the problems at hand, presenting them in a different light.
The ecosystem served as a catalyst for transformative thinking, where innovation thrived, and the act of questioning became a powerful mechanism for revitalising your ideas with renewed energy and passion, and ensure that your dreams remain vibrant and full of life as you pursue them.
